Deep Furrow Two Row Sugarcane Planter

The BHOOSARTHI 2-Row Deep Furrow Sugarcane Automatic Cutter Planter offers a comprehensive mechanization solution for all stages of sugarcane planting. This innovative planter handles tasks ranging from furrow opening, fertilizer placement, automatic cutting of cane sets, seed treatment, precise dropping of sets with desired overlap, pressurized pesticide spray on the sets in the furrow for soil treatment, and automatic covering of planted sets, all accomplished in a single pass.

Features:

a) Principle: This planter operates as a tractor-mounted device.

b) Planting Process: The sugarcane planter sows small sugarcane setts (ranging from approximately 6.5 to 26 inches in length) in two rows. Fertilizer is accurately placed in the rows before the setts. are planted. The planter automates the cutting of sets, treats the seeds at the cutting point, drops sets into furrows with desired seed rates, applies pressurized chemical spray on the setts in the furrows, and automatically covers the setts, all in one pass. It's recommended to maintain a tractor speed of less than 5 km/h in the 2nd low of the PTO.

c) Fertilizer Placement: The two-row deep furrow sugarcane planter operates parallel to the PTO-driven cutting edge and includes fertilizer placement units.

d) Furrow Openers: The sugarcane planter incorporates precise two-way W-shaped mold board furrowers that effectively open the furrows and position the setts within them.

e) Cane Feeding Mechanism: The operator manually feeds the whole sugarcane (feeder), while the automatic cutting of setts (based on the predetermined seed rate) is performed by a rotating bar equipped with seed billets cutting blades.

f) Cane Cutting Blade: Diagonal I-shaped blades are employed to cut the cane into desired billet sizes, ranging from 6.5 to 26 inches. During cutting, the sugarcane setts remain stationary while the blades rotate within the specified rotating bar and seed billets cutting settings.

g) Liquid Tank: A horizontal metal pipe functions as a tank for the chemical mixture and serves to minimize variations in chemical application rates. Nozzle ends are fitted within the tank. The liquid is directly applied over the setts at the sugarcane cutting point, prior to their placement into the furrows.

h) Power Drive System: The planter employs a simple and reliable power drive mechanism that is easy to repair and maintain, resulting in lower maintenance costs.

i) Weight and Weight Transfer: As a straightforward two-row planter, it can be drawn by any tractor with a power of 35 HP and above (with optimal performance achieved by a 50 HP tractor) without requiring additional front weight.

j) Affordable Price: Thanks to its well-balanced and simplified transmission system, the price of this two-row deep furrow sugarcane planter remains highly affordable for every farmer.

k) Operational Capacity: The operational efficiency of the two-row planter is contingent upon the forward speed and its theoretical field capacity. Based on this operational capacity, it's estimated to be approximately 70.16% higher compared to conventional sugarcane planting methods.

l) Return on Investment (ROI): This planter can potentially save up to 70% in labour costs compared to traditional sugarcane planting methods. In regions with around 100 days of sugarcane planting opportunities (Autumn and Spring), using this planter can cover approximately 5 to 6 acres per day. By minimizing downtime, one planter can cover around 4 acres per day. As a result, the return on investment can be recuperated within a single planting season.

Advantage:

a) The planter is tractor-mounted and controlled through a three-point linkage system.

b) It accurately places fertilizers and seed billets in rows as required.

c) It creates two deep trench rows with the flexibility to switch between 10 inches and 13 inches.

d) Sugarcane billets ranging from 6.5 to 26 inches can be automatically used as seed cane. e) At the cutting point, both seed and soil are treated with insecticide and fungicide sprayed by a ground-touch automatic switch 12V electronic pump (seed treatment).

f) It automatically places seeds in rows with end-to-end jointing, maintaining regularity or as desired.

g) The planter applies pesticide to the seeds in the furrows with controlled pressure (soil treatment).

h) It automatically provides a covering of 2 inches (adjustable) of soil over the sugarcane setts.

i) It can simultaneously close the rows if necessary.

j) Rows are levelled using the built-in leveler or roller.

k) The planter demonstrates higher germination percentages and better standing crop results compared to other planter categories.
